Refund Policy
Rutina is free to track with. If you pay for a plan and it isn't what you expected, here is exactly what you're entitled to and how to get it.
The short version
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK you can cancel a new subscription within 14 daysand get your money back. Practice minutes you have already used may be deducted. After 14 days, a subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for and then stops if you cancel — we do not bill you again.
Who you bought from
Payments for Rutina are handled by Link (Stripe), who is the merchant of record for your purchase. Practically, that means your receipt comes from Link, the charge appears on your statement as LINK.COM* RUTINA.DEV, and you can view, change or cancel what you bought at link.com.
If LINK.COM* RUTINA.DEVon your bank statement is what brought you to this page — that is us. You are not looking at a fraudulent charge.
The 14-day right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU, EEA and UK have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. That applies to the first payment of a Rutina subscription. You do not need our agreement and you do not need to justify it.
One thing worth knowing before you start a paid plan, because it is easy to miss and it is in your interest rather than ours to be clear about it: when you ask us to start the service straight away — which is what happens the moment you subscribe — you can still withdraw within the 14 days, but we may keep a proportionate amount for the part of the period already served.
That proportion is measured in time elapsed, not in how much you used it. Cancel on day 10 of a monthly plan and you get 20 days back; cancel on day 10 of an annual one and you get 355 days back. Someone who practised every day and someone who never opened the app get the same refund, which is the point — what you bought was the period, and charging the heavier user more would be a penalty dressed up as arithmetic.
Nothing else is deducted. The card processing fee is our cost of doing business, not a payment you made to us, so it does not come out of your refund.
Renewals are not new contracts, so the 14-day right does not restart each year. What protects you there is that we never charge without telling you first — see below.
After 14 days
You can cancel at any time, and cancelling always stops the next payment. What it does not do is refund the period you are currently in: an annual plan you cancel in month three keeps working until the year is up, and then ends.
We do not offer partial refunds for unused time as a matter of policy, because the annual price is lower precisely in exchange for the commitment. We would rather say that plainly than imply a flexibility we do not have. If you ask anyway we will read it and answer honestly — but treat a yes as a favour rather than a right, because after 14 days that is what it is.
If something has gone genuinely wrong — the service was unavailable, you were charged twice, you were charged after cancelling — that is not a refund request, it is a mistake, and we will fix it without argument. Write to [email protected].
How to ask for a refund
Either route works, and neither is a trick to send you somewhere else:
- Link support — they took the payment and can return it directly. This is usually fastest.
- [email protected]— write to us and we will issue it ourselves.
Link may also decide to refund a payment on its own initiative within 60 days of the original transaction. We mention it because it is true and because you may see a refund we did not personally authorise.
Before you are charged again
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled — that is what a subscription is. But you get an email before an annual renewal, and you can cancel from your settings or from link.com at any point before it lands.
We do not sell streak repairs, we do not make cancelling hard to find, and we do not quietly upgrade anybody. If you ever feel you were charged for something you did not choose, tell us and we will refund it.
Prices and currency
Prices are shown in euros and include VAT, because EU law requires the price you are shown to be the price you pay. If you are outside the eurozone, your payment may be converted to your local currency at checkout, and the converted amount is shown to you before you confirm.
